About John Blanchard, Chair

P: (202) 509-6005

John and Lindy Blanchard founded 100X Missions, now the 100X Development Foundation, in 2004 with the hope of impacting the lives of children around the world. They are passionate advocates for the key issues supported by the organization, and have traveled throughout Africa, Asia and South America to meet with local partners to further 100X’s mission to foster creative solutions to eradicate poverty and its negative effects.

John is the owner and partner of B&M Property Management Company, a leading owner and operator of multifamily homes with operations throughout the southeast. He began his career in multifamily in 1975 as an on-site apartment property manager. Early in his career, he served as Director of Property Management, Acquisitions and Dispositions for Ballard Realty Company, a Montgomery-based commercial real estate investment and management company. He used the experience gained from his first 18 years in the industry to formulate his idea for an apartment investment company focused on properties in the southeastern markets. He started B&M Management Company in 1993 in partnership with Sam Miller, a local orthopedic surgeon. He has since grown the company to 9,000+ units valued at over $600 million, with an investor pool of 200 individuals. John is a Certified Property Manager and a Registered Apartment Manager.

John is a member of the Board of Directors for Adullam House, a local non-profit that cares for the children of incarcerated women. He is also involved with the Brantwood Children’s Home, and he frequently works to help families who are interested in adoption.

John received a bachelor of science in finance from Auburn University. He and Lindy have four children, including Gracie Mae who was adopted from China in 2007.
